Doubting

LET'S BE HONEST

Doubt is present in all areas of our lives. Most of us were taught if we doubted God at any point, our faith was in question.

What do you do when you doubt?

1. How are you feeling about your fantasy football team?
2. What's your favorite thing about fall?
3. What was the toughest thing that happened this summer?

DISCUSSION TIME

What's a good story of a time you were gullible and believed something that (looking back) was clearly wrong?

Is there anyone who would share about a time in your life when you felt plagued with doubt in your personal walk with God?

What are some best bits of advice for enduring and learning from a season of doubt?

To the introverts: when you experience tough times with God, do you find it helpful to seek out other people?

To the extroverts: when you experience tough times with God, do you find it helpful to create more "alone time with God?"

In your Christian background, do you feel that you were taught SPECIFICALLY WHAT to think about God or were you taught HOW to think?

What are specific examples of how to make the shift from teaching teens WHAT to think to HOW to think?

Have you ever been or are you currently in a season where doubt has eroded your confidence in your call?

If you're currently in a season of doubt, how can we help?

PRAY FOR

For those in ministry who are in a season of doubt
For students in our care who are in a season of doubt
For the kids and spouses represented in this room to not be sidelined by doubt
For God to replace doubt with confidence
