Mark Shaner is the Southeast Regional Director for the National Network of Youth Ministries, he has been intentionally investing in students with his wife, Vickie since 1984. Mark is a youth ministry veteran with experiences in a variety of environments serving four congregations over 36 years. Mark has led locally, nationally, and internationally. As an advocate for church-community partnerships throughout the Southeast, Mark helps to coach and consult ministries to find ways to collaborate for the gospel. A Healthy Youth Leader Network includes…
a community of youth workers, students and caring adults who unite reach and equip teenagers for Christ by building relationships, sharing resources, developing strategies, and praying together.
NNYM Impact
Networks are seeing major change in their communities because of the united efforts to help teenagers become disciples of Jesus. The average career of a youth pastor at one church is 3.9 years (According to research done by Simply Youth Ministry), but if a youth pastor is in a network, their ministry lasts 9.2 years or longer at the same church. Networks are partnering and using resources with churches and para-churches to strategically reach students on their campuses.
