Leaders are the Backbone

LET'S BE HONEST

We cannot do ministry alone. We must build a team to go with us. Volunteers are the key to successful, thriving ministry.

1. If you could change one thing about your church, what would it be?

2. Use one word to describe your relationship with your lead pastor.

3. If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

DISCUSSION TIME

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate your ministry reflecting this statement: "Volunteers are the backbone and lifeblood of youth ministry."

What are the biggest challenges with your volunteers currently?

Do you feel like you are leading a team of ministers or you are the one doing the heavy lifting?

Are you a "it's just easier if I do it myself" type or do you naturally incorporate others?

Do you see a difference between delegating and empowering? Have you been able to do either?

Share a story of a time when one of your leaders really crushed it.

What are some ways you invest, encourage, and love volunteers?

Who is a leader of yours that could use some personally time from you?

PRAY FOR

For your leaders by name to be blessed by God for their service

For God to bring new leaders to you

For the family units of your leaders

For fresh vision and desire for your leaders to go deeper in student ministry
