See You at the Pole was September 27
Participation in this year's See You at the Pole (SYATP) grew by 35% over last year, and by 200% from 2021-2022. It's so encouraging to see students rebound from the pandemic with a passion to reach their friends, and prayer is the first, best thing they can do to reach them!
We've received reports of See You at the Pole prayer from 49 states. One school had 450 students particpate. In a few locations, students prayed alone at the flagpole.
Globally, students in at least five different countries took part in SYATP. At the University of Philippines, students did a Jericho Walk around the campus. Our country leader in Metro Manila said, "Next year will be the 10th year of SYATP in our area. We are praying for other cities to be inspired to mobilize prayer for their schools."
SYATP Leads to Evangelistic Outreach to Students
At post-SYATP network rallies, students prayed to receive Christ. At one school, teen leaders of SYATP wore hoodies with "ASK ME ABOUT JESUS" on their backs. Imagine the conversations they were able to have throughout the day! Prayer and evangelism go hand-in-hand.
During SYATP week, Claim Your Campus (our SYATP partner ministry) challenged folks to pray at schools in the state capital cities across the country. The Prayer Walk Project reached at least 27 states.
If you haven't tried it, prayer walking is great exercise that builds relationships in your network - not to mention cardio! And it covers a school with spiritual protection.
Opportunities for Students to Pursue Evangelism to Their Peers
See You at the Pole coordinates with partner ministries for follow up. A quick sampling includes:
- Claim Your Campus equips and resources students to pray every day on campus with a great app.
- Dare2Share Live! trains students to share the gospel, including Global Day of Youth Evangelism on November 11.
- Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsors the Fields of Faith evangelistic outreach on October 11 at stadiums. It's entirely student-led!
Please continue to pray for a sustained, growing prayer movement at every school in our nation. Your prayers help equip students to reach students, supported by youth leader networks.
