The Prayer Walk Project

Imagine every school in every capital city in the US covered in prayer. NNYM is excited to partner with See You at the Pole, Claim Your Campus and Olivia Williamson, CYC Director of Campus Ministries.

Below, Olivia shares the vision for prayer walks across the nation. I had the privilege of prayer-walking with Olivia, her family and some friends in Frisco, Texas last October. We talked about the way that God could use this to rally ministries to take meaningful action for the kingdom. I personally believe that prayer-walking is an effective onramp to see campus ministries and networks flourish.

Anyone can prayer walk, and as caring adults begin to mobilize others to pray together, their compassion for their schools will grow, and their desire to care for schools and students in a tangible way will develop.

And knowing that a relationship with Jesus is what will make the difference, groups will collaborate to see the message of the gospel shared on campuses. Networks will then do more than just meet; they will develop as allies in prayer for a common cause and against a common enemy.

The prayer walk project can be a key strategy in fueling a spiritual awakening. Join us as we fulfill the prayer of Jesus "that they may be one," as we collectively impact schools with the power of prayer. Our NNYM team in Texas and elsewhere is all in.

Claim Your Campus is calling parents, pastors, leaders, teachers, and students to join us for the 2023 Prayer Walk Project. Together, we can see a prayer walk at every middle and high school in our capital cities this year!

In an effort to see student-led prayer at every school, the Prayer Walk Project is a tangible goal that will impact schools in every state of America. People can use the CYC Prayer Walk Guide to pray for revival and a student prayer initiative in each school throughout the city.

There are two dates you can participate with people nationwide:

1. The week of the National Day of Prayer (April 29th - May 7th)
2. The week of See You at the Pole (September 23rd - 30th) 

Anyone is welcome to participate in the Prayer Walk Project outside of these dates and are also encouraged to prayer walk schools outside of capital cities!

To track progress nationwide, we invite caring adults to be Prayer Walk Mobilizers for their city. Mobilizers in each capital city will record their prayer walks with provided lists on our website and Claim Your Campus resources!
