We are excited to share an upcoming film called "The Good Lie" that has powerful themes of faith, hope and triumph. Personally, I think it has one of the most beautiful portrayals of gospel substitution I've seen in a long time.
Here's a "heads up" about a film coming out October 3 with a great message called The Good Lie. This fictional movie is based on the compelling story of the Lost Boys of Sudan who made their way to the USA and encountered the challenges of living in a foreign country. Although a mainstream film directed by Ron Howard, there are definite Christian overtones and will make youth think about life.
I've had the opportunity to be on a conference call with Reese Witherspoon who stars in the film. Reese was so taken back by the story of these extraordinary young men that she actually went to Africa with her fifteen year old daughter to visit the refugee camp where the boys came from. We will all be challenged by the message of finding ourselves by serving others.
