Stand for Freedom is a nationwide student-led movement to help end modern-day slavery. With an estimated 29.8 million people enslaved across the globe today, students will be standing for throughout a 24 hours period to raise a voice for the millions who are voiceless. They will give one day in an effort to change what slaves endure every day. In 2013, over 500 schools and communities signed up to Stand For Freedom across 36 states and 4 countries, raising over $130,000.
Join our friends at International Justice Mission (IJM) by expressing God's passion for justice by raising awareness on your schools campuses on April 9th. Micah 6:8 says; "He has told you O man what is good and what the Lord requires of you……...but to do justice, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
The violence of modern day slavery and sex trafficking grieves the heart of God and should grieve ours as well. Justice will come as we raise awareness and funds to help fight this battle.
So whether you stand for 24 minutes before school or at lunch, or are able to stand the whole day at school. Your voice needs to be heard.
