Over the summer I accidently find a lot of networks through camp speaking. People who have curated gatherings of youth workers because... it makes sense! Not only is it practical on a professional level, Jesus and Paul both make a big deal about our interpersonal connection. So, inevitably the question arises, "Why should our network join NNYM? What can you do for us?"
We don't OWN networks - we champion them.
Finding leaders, connecting people who lead networks and resourcing them is what we do! We know that networks that balance relationship and strategic collaboration extend the longevity of youth workers who attend. We can even help coach network leaders who feel they need help.
We share transferable events.
NNYM partners with programs and events that can be implemented in every community. We try to find strategic ideas and best practices that will transfer across demographics and share them with coordinators. That's why we are so excited to hear about events like:
National Day of Volunteer Youth Ministry Training (NDVYMT) on September 21.
This is an awesome way to help your volunteers KNOW that they are not alone! Plus, your team will get great teaching; that content will be the talk of your leaders for the next several months. Check out more at trainmyvolunteers.com.
See You At The Pole on September 25.
The church constantly needs reminders to pray. We often see a problem and try to strategize through it, but we are commanded to pray about it. See You At The Pole gives youth workers a transferable model to help direct students to pray for their schools... no matter where they are. This year SYATP has partnered with Claim Your Campus to help create a more sustained prayer movement. Find out more at syatp.com and download the "Campus Prayer" app.
Dare 2 Share LIVE on October 12.
Equipping students and sharing the gospel are two of our core values at NNYM. Dare 2 Share has made it super easy to create a training in every community with Dare 2 Share LIVE. This year the D2S team has worked super hard to reduce the cost to churches. Find out more at dare2sharelive.org.
We share ideas to power networks.
We work hard to find content and ideas that help guide conversations from month to month. Since we don't OWN networks, we offer materials... we don't mandate what is used. We know that if a network is praying for each other, intentionally building relationships, developing strategies within their community, and sharing resources with each other... they are cultivating longevity in youth ministry.
We help make networks famous.
Our job is to connect network leaders and spread the word about your gathering. It doesn't matter if your network is ministry specific, denomination only, a "curriculum fan" network... whatever! We KNOW there are people LOOKING for connections out there. We ask that if you run a network, post it on our website. We simply want to help youth workers connect to you.
