See You at the Pole is Wednesday, Sept. 25. Not every youth leader uses this strategy to encourage students to pray, but many do. If you are one of them, here are some important last-minute reminders.
Encourage your students this weekend to make the most of the "moment." It's just one day, but as they humbly approach the throne of God, their prayers make a difference. Praying for their friends is the "first, best way" to love them with Jesus' love.
Let them lead. Youth leaders who help prepare their students, and then take a half-step back and let them "own the day" will see more fruit going forward. You probably already know that in every spiritual awakening in our nation's history (except one in mid-1800s), STUDENTS were at the forefront. Let's believe God might want to use them yet again!
Turn the "moment" into a "movement." Encourage students to download and use the CAMPUS PRAYER APP (Apple or Google) to report their results. Then, continue to use the APP to learn how to use the "Claim Your Campus" strategy to help them pray weekly or daily for their school. It's all on the app: regular, practical, doable. Only God knows what a difference students praying across America might make through this school year!
SPECIAL REQUEST: The Table Coalition is hosting a SYATP celebration on Wednesday night in Los Angeles. Part of that event will include TELLING STORIES of SYATP from around the country. If there is something that happens in your community that you think is "newsworthy," would you please EMAIL THAT STORY TO ME ON WEDNESDAY before 5:00 Pacific time? Reach me at dclark@nnym.org. I'd be so grateful to share some of what God does with a national audience. THANK YOU!
Any other photos or video can be posted and will encourage others on the SYATP Facebook page: click the link or search "myseeyouatthepole" and you'll be able to post media there. People weep over the stories and pictures they see there.
