Thirty-one years ago a student prayer movement known as See You at the Pole(TM) began with just 10 students. It has since spread to millions of students around the globe. SYATP is simply a time of prayer, on the fourth Wednesday of September, for students to lift their friends, families, schools, and nation to God. This prayer-centered time is all student led.

Like last year, this year might be different from other SYATP's in history. Some schools may not allow groups to congregate. Students may have to adapt (time, date, place, wear masks, adhere to social distancing, even consider online options) for their school or area. Students are strongly encouraged to follow all CDC, state, local government, and school district guidelines and mandates. Additional creative options for consideration will be provided this year on the website www.syatp.com.

The 2021 SYATP theme verse is taken from James 4:10 in The Message Bible:

"Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it's the only way you'll get on your feet."

The New International Version says "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." A true state of prayer before a holy God requires humility, intentionality, and authenticity. The real goal is to Just Pray. Join us this year. We will see you at the pole!
