Preparing your High School Graduating Seniors for the Journey Ahead
MINISTRY LEADERS...how are you preparing graduating high school seniors for the journey that lies ahead of them?
The graduating seniors of 2021 have found themselves at a pivotal point. For some of them, the last year has been full of the familiar milestones: college visits, final football games, and prom dates. But for others, it has involved virtual classes, cancelled celebrations, financial hardships, and isolation. Regardless of the joys and pains of their senior year, each senior is on the cusp of something new. Whether that's college, a new job, military service or something else, it's an opportunity to pursue a faith that is truly their own as they grow closer to God.
The feeling at the juncture is inescapable: it is a season of hope and anticipation as these seniors close up one chapter of life and embark on an exciting new journey.
For students, that "something new" can be a catalytic season for their relationship with Jesus Christ. The next season of life will be so formative for them, and having a moment to pause, reflect on, and celebrate God's presence in their journey will serve as a catalyst towards faith in their lives. On May 16, they will be inspired to invite Him into the journey.
Spread the word and set a REMINDER! ? SUNDAY, 5/16, to join @everycampusmovement and students from across the nation for a virtual high school senior send-off. "Faith for the Journey" is an online celebration event that will feature performances, spoken word, inspirational testimonies from some of your favorite Christian artists and speakers of this generation. #EveryCampusMovement encourages high school graduates to seek the Lord and pursue gospel communities during their transition from high school to college.
