COVID-19 Update

Randy Davis - March 16, 2020

We are in the midst of interesting times. The craziness of Covid-19 is challenging all of our normal operations. While I do agree with many who have posted on social media, I also know that God is bigger than this, He has us in His hands, and this was not a surprise to Him.

With that, we need to be wise in our thinking and actions. I do think we need to be wise. My mind went to Ecclesiastes 8:1 "How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things." So, what is the wisdom we need to consider?

  1. Take care of yourself and your family.

  2. Take a day to spend alone with God.
Pray for wisdom over your ministry, the volunteers you serve, and the communities they serve.

  3. Stay connected to each other.
We have been meeting virtually as an organization since the beginning. We have assembled a list of our favorite resources.

For Networking:

  1. We need to move gatherings online.
This is one reason we have pulled together the online resources. Let's lead the way!

  2. Continue to practice the four priorities of networking.
Here are resources for this - click here

  3. Pastor communities TOGETHER.
I admit I am most concerned about students and youth leaders isolating themselves. These are the times when decisions can and will be made that violate value systems . We need to pray protection around them, but we can also check-in with them.

These are harder times and decisions need to be made. Let's seek the wisdom of God as we walk through the next several weeks. We are better together!
