The hurdle many students have to overcome to start a prayer group is the fear or intimidation of prayer. It's disheartening to travel across the nation and hear people young and old say, "No one has ever taught me how to pray." CYC is not just calling students to pray but we're teaching them how to pray.
Claim Your Campus is teaching students to listen to God when they pray through His Word, to praise Him for the good things in their life, and to ask for change in their school, nation, and generation. These three areas of prayer help students not just talk to God but with Him.
We believe that all Christians can continually learn and practice prayer within their immediate communities! For middle and high school students, one of their most immediate communities is their school. What if that was the place they learned to talk with God?!
