It's a new day for youth and college ministry in America. For the first time it's easy to connect all your college-bound students to campus ministries and churches before summer. As you can see from the videos on the website, churches are reversing the typical 70% college faith drop-off, and freshmen are expriencing awakenings on college campuses.
Juniors, Seniors, and their parents can now go on to CampusMinistryLink.org and begin communicating with college ministries and churches on nearly every US university.
Imagine if all your students had this experience: Chelsea connected with the Navigators at University of Nebraska over the summer since she had seen many of her older friends become blindsided by what happened during the first weeks and fell away. Becuase of this connection, she already knew a Christian in her dorm and had a list of fellowship events during those important first 72 hours. On the first night, four girls in her dorm invited them to a party. Chelsea convinced them to go to a Navigators hangout instead, and all six stayed in the Navigators and are walking strongly with Christ. Christmas became a time for these girls to energize their home church youth group with stories !
The Black Rock Church pastor video below shows how a church can nearly eliminate the college faith drop-off in one semester, and empower students for great things. Now far fewer parents will be grieving over wayward children and will be ready to serve the church in new ways. There is no cost for any of these resources.
Here's what you can do now:
- Go to the Youth Leader Page and register. On that page you will learn out to:
- Share Campus Ministry Link with students and parents. Show the website video in the main church to parents and students. Senior pastor encouragemen is powerful for the parents. Students think they are bullet-proof but parents know better!
- Use the Youth Leader Dashboard to upload your students (optional). You will be able to see their level of engagement and know who needs encouragement. You can even help your students after they start college!
- If your church regularly serves students at a university, you can be listed there so incoming students find you.
- Share with other pastors in your city so that No Student is Left Behind. The page also encourages other churches to join your NNYM network, and to launch student-led groups at high schools.
- Stay tuned for apologetic, worldview, evangelism, and discipleship resources from the most recognized youth and college ministry leaders delivered in a context your students will love!
You can also join the new National CML Facebook Group to learn more and network with other leaders or participate in weekly introduction Zoom calls here.
Now is the time for juniors to select universities with good ministries and for seniors to hit the ground running in college!
