Acceleration for Youth Ministry

At NNYM we love bringing the body of Christ together because powerful things happen when God's people connect! And that is happening this Friday in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Like many cities around the country, we have some amazing youth ministries that are doing excellent work in reaching lost students for Christ and helping them learn to follow Jesus.

Two months ago, our local Youth For Christ, Young Life, Youth Alive, FCA, Teens For Christ, YWAM, and Area Youth Ministry agreed to collaborate on an event together for youth pastors and youth leaders in the greater Pittsburgh region. We are inviting youth pastors to be inspired and challenged by Greg Stier (Dare 2 Share) and Jerrod Gunter (Riot Starters) about the power and opportunity of reaching lost students with the gospel.

Between the main sessions, our local ministries leaders wil be leading breakouts focused on a specific evangelism strategies. In addition to the speakers and workshops, we are providing youth leaders with some brainstorming tools to help them think through how they can reach students and the schools within their sphere of influence. According to the Campus Alliance (www.everyschool.com), there are 291,000 high school and middle school students in over 800 schools in the greater Pittsburgh region - it's a big mission field!
