We were dreaming of ways that we could encourage quick, specific prayer during a NNYM Training team meeting. In that discussion the 30-Day Prayer Prompt Challenge was born! Thanks to the quick work of Nick Damonte, we had a list of thirty specific requests. When the rest of the staff heard about the idea the initiative was launched. If you would like to borrow it for your ministry... here is the list!

Our purpose for this initiative is not to start the next social media movement, it's to encourage people to take a moment and intentionally petition the God of the universe in prayer for the students they know.

The WIN is people praying for young people and those who serve them. So if that means YOU create YOUR OWN 30-Day Prayer Prompt Challenge... GO FOR IT! If that means sharing our posts to your favorite social media platforms, please do. Let's mobilize our churches to be in prayer for student ministry!

James 4:1-3 in the NIV says, "What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don't they come from your desires that battle within you? 2 You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures."

We hope that the warning from James is NOT true of us. Maybe simple prayers can unite the church and pour out God's blessings on students this school year. We won't know until we ask!
